Thomas got his first pair of glasses on December 23rd and he has done pretty good with them. He will only wear them for 5 minutes at a time but that is better than nothing. He goes on January 16th back to the opthmologist to see if he will also need surgery onto of wearing glasses. I'm pretty sure he still will need surgery but I could be wrong. Also today Thomas had his hearing checked and he didn't do so well. Behavior wise he was awesome but my boy can barely hear a darn thing. Any noise at a middle tone or lower he heard nothing and high pitch noises that were too load for my ears he was sometime responding and usually looking in the wrong direction. So with that being said he has to go to children's hospital for further testing because he will not let anyone look inside his ears. They will put his to sleep at children's and then they can see if he needs his ears drained of fluids or if he needs a hearing aid. I hope its just tubes.For everything that has been going on with him, he sure is being good about it. He has been improving in his speech and he is has been more patient with us when we don't know what he wants. He even has picked up a few sign language words. I think when all is said and done he will be a new kid and he will be able to enjoy life.I'm so blessed to have him. He's my little sunshine!

cute pics. Liv had to have glasses at 2, and eye surgery at 5. It has totally corrected the lazy eye. Hope all goes well!

The glasses look great. Your boy must be loving the added vision. Maybe it will help him to pick up some new signs. N. doesn't speak at all yet but she does use about 5 different signs that have been very helpful to us. Good job Shannon!
